A lot of thought has gone into the Phelps’ proposal…and a lot of community input. Through two community surveys, neighbors said they want an upscale, specialty grocery store, nice restaurants and resident-serving retail. Working with the architects of Hart/Howerton, the project design breaks apart buildings and employs materials and architecture that create a rural village recalling a small town center like Woodside, California.
